From Peer Review to Better Outcomes: iPEER Boosts Teaching Quality in Ecuador

31/10/2025

An increasing number of engineering educators are completing rigorous peer evaluation to deepen insight into their continuous professional development and to gain international recognition with the iPEER (International Professional Engineering Educator Registered) title.

Marking a national milestone as part of the EEENTITLE Erasmus + Project initiative, more than 100 educators from Ecuador—representing ESPOL and UNEMI—received their iPEER pins and certificates at award ceremonies held on October 29 (ESPOL) and October 30 (UNEMI), respectively.

The iPEER title recognises educators who demonstrate sustained professional growth, reflective teaching practice, and evidence-based impact. This achievement is vital for ensuring the quality of education, recognising the professional efforts of each educator, and amplifying the positive impact on students’ learning in courses taught by iPEERs.

At ENTER Network, we’re proud—and genuinely moved—to support continuous professional development and the international recognition of engineering educators’ merits.
