From 5 to 7 November 2025, the EDUFUSION NSG Management Board meeting was held at Satbayev University in Almaty, Kazakhstan — a strategic three-day gathering of partners from across Europe and Central Asia.
In this key event, the ENTER Network President and the International Project Manager played a central role in presenting the diagnostics of engineering-educators’ competence-development in Kazakhstan. Drawing on our framework for professional competence assessment, they reported on the early diagnostic findings of educator profiles within Kazakhstan’s higher-education institutions, mapping current competence levels, identifying gaps and outlining next-steps for targeted professional-development pathways.
Their contribution underscored the ENTER Network’s commitment to disseminating best practices and implementing outreach activities in tandem with capacity-building initiatives. During the meeting, work-package sessions covered management (WP1), AICP development (WP2), Educator training and certification (WP3), Course development (WP4), Inclusive social recognition (WP5), and Growth & Outreach (WP6).
The presence of the ENTER Network leadership at the EDUFUSION meeting amplified our visibility among stakeholders: educators, institution-leaders and policy partners engaged directly with the competence-development diagnostics and the emerging framework for the iPEER (International Professional Engineering Educator Registry) certification.
Looking ahead, the ENTER Network is committed to scaling dissemination efforts: sharing findings from the diagnostic phase, promoting professional-development programmes, and supporting outreach to engineering-educators in Kazakhstan and beyond. This aligns with our shared goal of strengthening educator competence worldwide.
